TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts football club is saddened to learn of the passing of former assistant coach Gordon Ackerman who died last week at the age of 83.
Ackerman spent 8 years as an assistant with Toronto under the head coaching reigns of Lou Agase, Nobby Wirkowski, Bob Shaw and Leo Cahill.
He is survived by his wife Joan, three children Jim, Tom and Gay and three grandchildren Emily, Scott, Halle, Jackson and Connor. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
