MISSISSAUGA – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to welcome imports OL Jake Anderson, K Josh Jasper, RB Emmanuel Marc, DE Ayanga Okpokowuruk and DE Donte Paige-Moss to the team’s practice roster.

Jake Anderson recently completed a successful four year tenure at the University of Akron (2007-2011), where he started in 36 consecutive games at right tackle for the “Zips” and was named a team captain in his final year. The Erie, Pennsylvania native attended training camp with the NFL’s Cleveland Browns in 2012 before being released as a final cut.
Josh Jasper was signed by the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers on July 26, 2011 and was released as a final training camp cut. Jasper, who attended LSU, finished his career as one of the most accomplished kickers in the nation, earning All-American honours after leading the nation in field goals, field goal percentage (82.4) and points (120) in 2011.
Emmanuel Marc has spent the last two seasons on the Montreal Alouettes practice roster. Marc, who played two seasons at Delaware State and Hudson Valley Junior College, has also spent time with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and BC Lions. He was named Second-Team All-Conference in his final year at Delaware.
Ayanga Okpokowuruk (pronounced: AH-YONG-GAH AWK-PAWK-OH-WAR-UK) played in 47 career games with the Duke Blue Devils of the NCAA between 2006-2009 where he recorded 108 tackles and 10.5 sacks. The Charlotte, North Carolina product spent time on the practice rosters of the NFL’s New York Giants and Cleveland Browns in 2011.
Donte Paige-Moss was one of the most highly touted defensive prospects in the nation following his short, but impressive, career at North Carolina. Paige-Moss totalled 83 tackles and 11 sacks between 2009-2011, and enjoyed his best game in the Music City Bowl win against Tennessee in 2010. In that game, he finished with six tackles, 2.5 for loss, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a blocked kick. Paige-Moss was recently a member of the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the UFL.
The Toronto Argonauts also announce that import WR Chandler Williams has been removed from the club’s practice roster.
