TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts secured a home date for their fans in the 100th Grey Cup Playoffs with an important win last week, and in this Thursday night’s regular season finale against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at 7:30 p.m. ET at Rogers Centre, a night packed with entertainment and giveaways, the Double Blue will thank their fans for all of their support this season!

On the strength of another record-breaking year by WR/KR Chad Owens, who is a mere 73-yards away from passing Michael ‘Pinball’ Clemons (3,840) for the CFL single-season combined yards record and 232 yards from becoming the first player in professional football history to reach 4,000 combined yards, the Argonauts have locked up second place in the Eastern Division. Owens is also poised to become the first player in CFL history to lead the league in both receiving yards and kick return yards in the same campaign.
At the game, presented by Nissan, the first 10,000 fans through the gates will receive a Damon Allen bobblehead doll honouring his 2012 Canadian Football Hall of Fame induction. Fans should then settle into their seats early to hear Toronto R&B and soul singer and Juno award winner, Divine Brown, perform the national anthem. Well known Canadian comedian and actor Colin Mochrie will take a break from his side-splitting jokes to try and split the uprights as he performs the ceremonial kickoff.
During each of the first three quarters of Thursday’s game, a lucky fan in the crowd will be randomly drawn to win a pair of tickets to the TELUS Players Party or the Molson Canadian House Concert Series at the 100th Grey Cup Festival!
At halftime, three fans will compete in the Nissan GO TIME Challenge to win 100th Grey Cup Festival passes. Post-game will see two lucky fans invited to the field to receive signed premium Reebok jerseys handed to them personally by Argos stars Chad Owens and Jordan Younger!
Fans can come early and stop by the Gate 11 barbeque to indulge in a gourmet sausage prepared by Marc Angelo Foods. All proceeds from the barbeque will benefit Veterans’ Comfort Fund and Veterans Grant a Wish. Fans should also stop by Nissan stations at Gates 5 and 11, or on concourse throughout the game, where they can enter to win a brand new CFL special edition 2013 Nissan Pathfinder!
During the game, in anticipation of the 100th Grey Cup, the Toronto Argonauts and CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon will present a banner to the Balmy Beach Rugby Club to commemorate 100 years in Toronto and two Grey Cup championships in 1927 and 1930.
Fans are invited to join Argos players and the Argos Cheerleaders, presented by the Toronto Sun, at the Official Post-Game Party at Shoeless Joe’s Sports Grill at 276 King Street West, for special food and drink deals!
