Double Blue fans are invited to see the entire 2012 Toronto Argonauts squad, including Ricky Ray and East Division Most Outstanding Player, Chad Owens before they begin their preparation for next Sunday’s big game at Rogers Centre.
Fans are welcome to come down to Yonge-Dundas Square in downtown Toronto at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20 for a good old fashioned Pep Rally! Hosted by in-stadium host Mark ‘Strizzzy” Strong, hundreds of Argos fans are invited downtown to celebrate the East Division champions. The team’s own band, the Argonotes,as well as the St. Michael’s College Drumline willparade through the square playing a variety of Double Blue fight songs. Members of the Argos Cheerleaders, presented by the Toronto Sun,will help energize the crowd and meet with fans while the players take the stage.
It’s been exactly 30 years since Argonauts fans have seen their team play in a Grey Cup championship game held in Toronto, and exactly 50 years since the Double Blue have won a Grey Cup game on Toronto soil. Now is the time to celebrate the prospect of the 2012 Argonauts bringing home a CFL-leading 16th Grey Cup championship on November 25.
