TORONTO – The 100th Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts hold seven picks in the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft to be held this Monday, May 6 starting at 12 noon ET. Argonauts General Manager Jim Barker will be made available to the media following the draft. Details are below.
Newthis year on argonauts.ca, social interface Scribblelive will give fans the ultimate draft day online experience. In addition, media that are part of the Scribblelive network are invited to syndicate this content on their own sites for use all day during the CFL Canadian Draft.
The Toronto Argonauts currently have ten players on their roster who were drafted by the Double Blue in the CFL Canadian Draft. Those playersare: WR Quincy Hurst (2012), DB Djems Kouame (2011), DE Alexander Robinson (2011), WR Julian Feoli Gudino (2011), OL Joe Eppele (2010), WR Spencer Watt (2010), OT Joel Reinders (2010), WR Mike Bradwell (2008), DB Matt Black (2008) and OG Jeff Keeping (2005).
On March 22, 2013, the Argonauts traded their third round selection in this year’s draft to the Edmonton Eskimos for two fifth round draft picks (39th and 40th overall) in this year’s draft as well as non-import DL Jermaine Reid. On October 11, 2011, the Boatmen acquired import WR Maurice ‘Mo’ Mann from Hamilton in exchange for this year’s fourth round pick and import DB Dee Webb. The Argonauts’ draft priority is eighth after finishing as league champions in 2012.
