TORONTO – The defending Grey Cup Champions are in a bit of an interesting place. While they sit atop the East Division through three weeks of play, they are doing so with a 1-2 record which would tie them for fourth in the West Division.
Continuing their Jekyll and Hyde first three weeks of the CFL season, the Argos sit second in the league (and first in the East) in total points for with 83, but on the flip side are last in the league in points against with 97.

After practice on Monday, Argonauts Head Coach Scott Milanovich was asked about how he feels about the team being 1-2 after three weeks of play.
“We’d rather be 3-0” Milanovich said with a smile.
But the Coach realizes that the season is still young and that with just a 9-9 finish in 2012, the team was still able to get hot at the right time and make a march to the 100th Grey Cup.
“It’s no time to panic. A lot of these players and coaches have been in this spot before” Milanovich said following a balmy Argos practice on Monday. However, the Argonauts Head Coach does not seem satisfied to take the same route as the team did last season, hoping the team gets going earlier than in 2012.
“We know it takes some time to gel and we need to start gelling sooner rather than later.”
Something that Milanovich is happy about is an extended time between games and the opportunity to get a full week of practice under their belt before The Argos travel to Winnipeg for a week 4 date with the Bluebombers.
“One thing that helps is having a full week of practice. This is our first week since week one so you’re getting a little bit of extra practice time and the guys are getting a little bit extra on the field time” said Milanovich.
Coach continued by explaining that the extended week of practice should help the Argos prepare for QB Buck Pierce and the Bombers, stating “hopefully we’ll be a little bit more comfortable with what they’re doing on game day.”
Finally, with the Bluebombers drawing quiet well for the first few weeks of 2013, the Argonauts coaching staff decided to be extra prepared and brought the practice crowd noise back.
When asked why the crowd noise came back, Milanovich said it simply, “we expect it to be a loud atmosphere and a fun one to play in.”
The Argonauts will practice for the full week in Mississauga before travelling to Winnipeg on Thursday.
