TORONTO – This Sunday, March 30, at what is expected to be a packed centre court at Scarborough Town Centre, 48 finalists for the 2014 Argos Cheerleaders, presented by the Toronto Sun, will perform LIVE to secure one of 35 spots on this year’s team!
Beginning at 1:00 p.m., finalists will take the stage in front of hundreds of members of the public as they work to impress a panel of notable guest and celebrity judges. Among them will be Canadian music sensation Karl Wolf whose recently released hit song “Magic Hotel” willbe played during each performance.

For the third year in a row, members of the public will have their say in selecting the final spot on this year’s team online. Starting Monday morning, three hopefuls will compete for the 35th and final spot on the squad in a week-long online fan vote at argonauts.ca. The finalist whose audition video has the most votes on Friday, April 4 at 12 noon ET will be named to the team.
Commented Head Coach of the Argos Cheerleaders, Jorie Brown, “We are very excited that Karl Wolf will be joining us to help pick this year’s team. I know that his hit song ‘Magic Hotel’ will energize our hopefuls and excite the crowd on Sunday. We are very happy with the quality of this year’s cheer finalists and I’m sure our team’s lip-dub video helped fuel the overwhelming interest we received.”
The Argos Cheerleaders are Toronto’s most established and exciting cheer team. They electrify the hometown crowd at Rogers Centre, participate in meaningful charity work throughout the GTA and act as a role model for many young girls.
