Toronto Argonauts Hold 8 Picks As 2014 Cfl Draft Enters Prime Time!

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts hold eight (8) picks in the 2014 CFL Draft to be held during prime time on Tuesday, May 13 starting at 7:00 p.m. ET!

Argonauts.ca and all of their social media channels will be at full force providing fans wire to wire coverage of all seven rounds of the CFL Draft.  Coverage will begin Monday at 12:30 p.m. ET when Argonauts General Manager Jim Barker will take over the club’s Twitter account, @TorontoArgos, to answer pertinent pre-draft questions submitted by fans that use the hashtag #AskJim.

During draft night, fans can look forward to behind the scenes coverage of the Argonauts draft room, analysis of all the new members of the Double Blue and all breaking news.

The Toronto Argonauts currently have 11 players on their roster who were drafted in a CFL Draft by Toronto: WR Natey Adjei (2013), S Jermaine Gabriel (2013), OT Matt Sewell (2013), DE Cleyon Laing (2012), LB Herve Tonye-Tonye (2012), FB Alexander Robinson (2011), OL Tyler Holmes (2011), WR Spencer Watt (2010), S Matt Black (2008), WR Mike Bradwell (2008), and C Jeff Keeping (2005).

The Argos acquired a conditional draft pick from the Saskatchewan Roughriders that became a fifth-round 2014 CFL Draft pick (38^th overall) in exchange for import OL Chris Patrick on June 10, 2013. On September 9, 2013, Toronto traded their third round pick in this year’s CFL Draft, along with non-import OL Marc Parenteau, to Winnipeg for non-import RB Anthony Woodson and a fifth-round pick (38^th overall) in Tuesday’s draft. The Argonauts’ 2014 draft priority is sixth (6^th).
