YORK UNIVERSITY – One of the most interesting scenarios to watch at camp this year (as always) is the quarterback situation. With Ricky Ray locked in at the starting position, the question of who will be the backup for 2014 remains. Last year, Zach Collaros won the spot, but with his departure to Hamilton in the offseason that spot on the depth chart is up for grabs. Common sense would say that it would be awarded to last years third string, Trevor Harris, but when asked about it yesterday, head coach Scott Milanovich said that Trevor is, “going to get the first shot but is by no means number two.”

The quarterback debate will be an entertaining storyline to keep an eye on during camp, especially with Mitchell Gale and Josh Portis both returning this year and TCU product Casey Pachall in camp.
2014 Draft picks, wide receivers Salvatore “Tore” Corrado and Evan Pszczonak (PISH-ON-UK) both had their best day of rookie camp, shining during one-on-one drills. They both utilized their speed against the much taller DBs to bring down several catches apiece. Corrado also spent an extra 20 minutes out on the field after practice, fine-tuning his over the shoulder grabs and footwork with the quarterbacks.
Jake Reinhart had the chance to work on his defence today as he spent time working with the linebackers. Reinhart has spent most of camp working with kicker Josh Jasper on long snapping, but today he had the chance to show off the defensive skills he picked up while playing in Guelph.
Linebacker Nicholas Williams and receiver Andre Snipes-Booker have put in a lot of work to get to where they are today. After impressing the coaching staff at the Lakeland play-in day try-out, they were both selected to join the other rookies at mini-camp at Tiger Town. After yet another impressive showing, both were invited back to Toronto to take part in rookie camp. So far, both Williams and Snipes-Booker have not looked out of place. Snipes-Booker has done well on the receiving end, and also looks confident in the return game using his speed, quick feet, and agility. Williams provides a great combination of size and speed for the linebacker position.
Fans should also be sure to keep on eye DB Matt Ware. With the team looking to fill the void of recently departed all-star DB Pat Watkins, Ware is someone who brings both size and experience, after playing seven seasons in the NFL, including winning two NFC Conference Championships with the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals.
