TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to announce that is has acquired international DB Dwight Anderson from the Saskatchewan Roughriders in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2015 CFL Draft.

Dwight Anderson has won two Grey Cup championships with Calgary and Saskatchewan, earned CFL all-star accolades and is a four-time divisional all-star. Over eight (8) CFL seasons, Anderson has played with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2007), Calgary Stampeders (2008-10), Montreal Alouettes (2011-12), and Saskatchewan Roughriders (2013-14). Over that span, he has amassed 343 defensive tackles, 19 interceptions, four (4) interception return touchdowns, seven (7) fumble recoveries, one (1) sack and 11 special teams tackles. Anderson is also a veteran of seven (7) CFL playoff games. He’s earned two (2) Grey Cup wins, one during his time with the Calgary Stampeders in 2008 and one last season as a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
The Spanish Town, Jamaica native attended the University of South Dakota for two seasons between 2002 and 2003, and also played at Arizona Western College between 2000 and 2001. Prior to playing in the CFL, Anderson spent time with the Philadelphia Soul of the AFL, the St. Louis Rams and the Carolina Panthers of the NFL. He played in three NFL games for the Rams amassing five (5) tackles.
