Argos At Home Again This Saturday To Take On Stampeders

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts, led by CFL Offensive Player of the Week Ricky Ray, return to Rogers Centre this Saturday, July 12 to take on Calgary Stampeders at a special 6:30 p.m. kickoff time.

Ray was outstanding during the team’s 48-15 home win over Saskatchewan just one week ago. He thrilled fans by completing more than 70% of his passes and 3 touchdowns, the first of which was to his favourite target, and the CFL’s leading receiver entering week 3, Chad Owens. Owens now has touchdowns in each of his first two games of the season!

Arrive early to attend the Go RVing Canada Tailgate Party at 4:30 p.m. outside Gate 11. While there,fans cansnap an awesome selfie with the actual car from the set of the upcoming movie Dr. Cabbie. There will be plenty of other exciting activities and games, a live DJ, appearances by the 2014 Argos Cheerleaders, food and beverages will be available, Jason the Mascot, Argos interactive inflatables and much more.

Fans are reminded to head over to Gate 6 where they can test their skills on the TSN 1050 Radio Chad Owens Toss and enter to win a trip for two to see the Double Blue play in Montreal.

The star of soon to be released feature film Dr. Cabbie, Vinay Virmani, will perform the ceremonial coin toss, and Canadian artist Raghav will perform his new hit All I Need Is You (from the movie), as well as his certified gold single, Fire, at halftime. Following Raghav’s performance, the 2014 Argos Cheerleaders, presented by The Toronto Sun, will take the field alongside 50 Junior Cheer participants (ages 5-18) who have been practicing their routine all week and will unveil it at Saturday’s game!

The national anthem will be performed by the Aloha Toronto Choir and led by mother-daughter duo Sarah and Kim Souch. Members of Aloha Toronto will also be selling 50/50 tickets throughout the concourse and proceeds will benefit Autism Ontario.

Teams from the Mississauga Football League will suit up pre-game and play on the actual turf the pros play on at Rogers Centre. Members of the Metro Wild Cats have been invited to run the ARGOS flags up and down the sidelines each time Toronto scores!

At every home game this season, the 2014 Argos Cheerleaders Swimsuit Calendar, presented by RedTag.ca, will be on-sale. Fans can purchase their very own copy for just $20 from any of the beautiful and talented members of the 2014 Argos Cheerleaders during this week’s tailgate party oron the concourse during the game.

Fans are encouraged to head over to Shoeless Joe’s Sports Grill at 276 King Street West after the game for food and drink specials to celebrate at the Argos Official Post-Game Party!
