Toronto – The Toronto Argonauts are winners of two straight games and are home for the second time this week on Sunday, August 17 at 7:30 p.m. to take on the B.C. Lions.
The Argonauts unveiled their new CFL Signature Uniform from Reebok to fans earlier this week, and now they will wear them for the first time in a game! The modern, bold look remains true to the tradition of the Double Blue and features a number of classic and innovative designs. The B.C. Lions will also don their CFL Signature Gun Metal Grey Uniform which will give this match a fresh, new look.

Prefontaine To Retire With Argos |

QB Ricky Ray was spectacularin Tuesday night’s home win against the Blue Bombers. He completed 78.8% of his passes for 297 yards and tossed 4 touchdowns for his fourth time as an Argonaut. RB Curtis Steele was a force in the backfield in Tuesday’s win, scoring a pair of majors last week. It was the third time he scored twice in a game in his career, and the second time at home this season. Veteran DB Dwight Anderson is playing at another level as of late and now has 13 tackles and 2 sacks in two games. Defensive counterpart LB Shea Emry played a complete game against Winnipeg making 6 tackles and tracking sideline to sideline.
Former Toronto Argonauts Kicker/Punter Noel Prefontaine, a veteran of 16 CFL seasons (including 14 as an Argo), and a two-time Grey Cup champion will sign a one-day contract at Sunday’s home game and officially retire as an Argonaut. Fans will have an opportunity to honour him during the first half of the contest, and he will also participate in the ceremonial pre-game kickoff.
Canadian basketball star Tyler Ennis will handle this week’s coin toss, and emerging Canadian country music star Kira Isabella will perform the national anthem. Clarington Minor Football will also be on-hand pre-game to scrimmage on the turf at Rogers Centre.
This week’s 50/50 draw will benefit Canadian Safe Schools Network, a collaborative partner of the Argonauts’ award winning Huddle Up Bullying Prevention Program, presented by Tim Hortons.
