Argos Add Four

Toronto – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club announced today that international WR Aaron Kelly and DB Brandon Underwood, as well as national DB Matt McGarva have all signed with the team.

Kelly, a 6-5, 203-pound native of Marietta, Georgia, arrives in Toronto after spending time with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and most recently the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In 26 regular season games, he has caught 103 passes for 1,360 yards and six touchdowns.  The former Clemson Tiger caught a career-high 43 receptions for 549 receiving yards and three touchdowns with the Bombers last season.

Underwood, a 6-1, 191-pound native of Cincinnati, Ohio, returns for his second stint with the Argonauts in 2015 after spending the latter half of the 2014 season on the Calgary Stampeders practice roster. In seven starts with the Boatmen last season, he registered 19 defensive tackles, one special teams tackle, two interceptions and one fumble recovery. 

McGarva, a 6-0, 192-pound native of Surrey, British Columbia, spent the last two CFL seasons with the BC Lions. The Leos selected him in the fourth round (33rd overall) of the 2013 CFL Draft. The University of Windsor product recorded five special teams tackles with the Lions.

The Toronto Argonauts also announced today that national DL Cleyon Laing and international OL Branndon Braxton have been added to the suspended list.
