The Argonauts announced today that the team has re-signed international running back Lyle McCombs.
McCombs, a 5-10, 171-pound native of Staten Island, New York, returns to Argonauts training camp after being released by the team earlier this week. He spent the 2014 season at Rhode Island after transferring from the University of Connecticut. McCombs finished his NCAA career with 815 carries for 3,344 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns while adding 56 receptions for 500 receiving yards and one touchdown between both schools. He left UConn ranked second in school history in carries (677) and fourth in rushing yards (2,681).
The Argonauts also announced today that 2014 CFL All-Star and East Division Most Outstanding Player, Ricky Ray has been placed on the team’s 6-game injured list.
