TORONTO – The Canadian Football League announced today that Toronto Argonauts quarterback Trevor Harris has been named a “Shaw CFL Top Performer of the Week” for the second consecutive week.
In just his third career start, the Edinboro alum completed 30-of-38 passing attempts (78.9%) for 267 yards and four touchdowns en route to leading the Argonauts to a 42-40 overtime victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders – Toronto’s first overtime game and win since September 11, 2009.
The fourth-year Argonaut has completed 83.1% of his passing attempts for a total of 614 yards and a league-leading seven touchdowns in the first two weeks of the 2015 season.
Joining Trevor Harris as this week’s Shaw CFL Top Performers are Montreal QB Rakeem Cato and Saskatchewan WR Ryan Smith. The three players were chosen by a panel of judges including former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.
The Toronto Argonauts travel to Calgary on Monday, July 13 to take on the Calgary Stampeders at McMahon Stadium at 9:00 p.m. ET (TSN, ESPN 3, TSN Radio 1050).
