2016 Argos Cheerleader Auditions Announced!

Think you have what it takes to be a cheerleader for the Toronto Argonauts Football Club?

This is your opportunity to represent your city, perform in front of thousands of fans at BMO Field, and participate in the 104th Grey Cup Festival in Toronto! Be part of one of the most exciting seasons of Argonauts Football yet!

SCHEDULE
9:30am – 10:00am Registration
10:00am – 11:00am Choreography
11:00am – 1:00pm Perform For Judges (1st cuts)
1:00pm – 1:30pm BREAK
1:30pm – 3:30pm Perform For Judges (2nd cuts)
3:30pm – 5:30pm Personal Interviews

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
ATTIRE
  • Dance/Workout wear
  • Sports bra (your midriff must be exposed)
  • Low cut shorts only (no baggy pants, leggings or high-wasted shorts).
  • Camera-ready hair and makeup (hair must be worn down)
  • Running/athletic shoes
WHAT TO BRING
  • A current headshot & resume
  • Both must be submitted on the day of auditions
  • Photo is strictly for ID purposes and will not be returned
  • A non-refundable audition fee of $20 cash to be submitted day of auditions

Cheerleaders Roses

AS AN ARGOS CHEERLEADER YOU WILL:
  • Perform on-field at all Toronto Argonauts home games
  • Travel to select away games
  • Travel locally, meeting fans and participating in many community and charitable events
  • Have the exciting opportunity to participate in the 104rd Grey Cup Festival in Toronto!
  • Appear in promotional items such as the Argos Cheerleaders Calendar
  • Opportunity to appear on local and national television and radio shows, as well as internet and print media
  • Bring smiles to kids in the Argos Jr. Cheer program
  • Pose for pictures and sign autographs during and after each home game
  • Educate fans and potential fans about all the Argos have to offer!
Argos Cheerleaders Requirements:
  • 19 years of age by June 1, 2016
  • High school graduate as of June 1, 2016
  • 2-3 years minimum dance experience (Jazz, hip hop, street jazz, tumbling is an asset)
  • Physically fit, athletic and healthy
  • Available for ALL home games
  • Must attend ALL rehearsals for the entire season (Monday & Wednesday evenings from 8:30 p.m.-11:00 p.m.)
  • Must participate in a minimum of 20 promotions throughout the season
  • Have a reliable means of transportation to get to all rehearsals, promotions and games.
MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING DATES
MARCH 19th – 20th Mandatory Cheerleader Boot Camp Weekend (Date TBD)
MARCH 23rd 1st Team Rehearsal
COMPLETE HOME GAME SCHEDULE
NOV 23rd – 27th 104th Grey Cup Festival (Toronto)
