The Argonauts fell short in a tough one in Winnipeg on Thursday night, falling 40-31 in a high scoring battle that saw Damonte Coxie put on an absolute show.
Coxie was unreal, hauling in 2 touchdowns and racking up 187 receiving yards, keeping the Argos in striking distance.
The defence had its moments too. Mark Milton tipped a pas that Benjie Franklin picked off, swinging momentum when it mattered. In the second half, Cameron Judge brought pressure with a timely sack, and Tarvarus “T Time” McFadden came through with a clutch interception to give the team life down the stretch.
But despite the big plays, the comeback came up short.
